As your Family Dentist, we always strive to provide “dental health care” as opposed to “disease care” because we understand that the key to optimal dental health is preventive care. Hence we focus on thorough exams and also checking the overall health of your teeth and gums as we perform oral cancer exams and taking x-rays when necessary. We make sure you and your family are safe from dental diseases. We care for the whole family, from children, to parents, and grandparents.

We can stay informed of your overall health after reviewing your medical history. Any new medications and any illnesses that may impact your dental health should always be reported to us. We are also aware that routine cleanings and flossing are all helpful in preventing dental disease.

Tolland Family Dentistry is a participating insurance provider with Anthem Blue/Cross (excluding the Federal plan) and Delta Dental Premier.

  • We do not participate in any DMO or HMO plans.
  • If you choose to see us as an out of network provider, we will gladly submit your insurance claim.  However, this is a courtesy to our patients.
  • Patients are responsible for knowing the benefits of their individual plans including co-pays, deductibles and maximums.  There should be an 800 number on the back of your card that you can call and get all this information.  If you do not have a card, your human resources department should be able give you information so that you may contact your insurance carrier.
  • We ask that you have all of the above insurance information available upon arrival at your first visit.

Co-pays are due at time of service. Your co-pay is an estimate only, so there is a chance you will be billed for additional co-pay that the insurance company won’t allow payment for.  The maximum amount of time we will process a claim without receiving payment from your insurance carrier is 3 months.  You are responsible for payment in full if we do not receive payment in that time frame.  We will provide you at that time the necessary documentation for you to submit to your insurance carrier.

  • Here at Tolland Family Dentistry, we know that your time is as valuable as ours, therefore we ask that you give a minimum of 24 hours notice if you need to cancel any appointments.
  • There will be a fee for any appointment missed without proper notification.
  • Patients that are more than 10 minutes late for their appointment will not be seen as we need to be fair to those patients who are on time.
